DAWN

Through chilly air and lusting bite
Float cheerful cries... Rejoicing

Feathers flutter rhyming night
With the day they are now voicing

Shadowed trees laced cross my eye
Stretch webs of black sensation
'Gainst blues and brights of neon sky
Begins... Rejuvenation

And the dark moss... Like the moist grass
Revealing itself a last
And these branches of greys
And tails of green
Reflecting warm silence
The sun so clean

The secure sensation, this dawn, this shining
The rays of warmth providing
As I turn to gaze, so to catch it all
Bright flashes, quick colors fade
Under a cool tall,
Where a single wilted leaf
Doth slowly fall
Within this morning cloak
